Forex VPS

 

For me personally VPS is the second most important aspect of automated currency trading, after making money!

Why? If you are running Expert Advisers to manage your Forex Trading you need to leave your PC running throughout the trading week. Actual times will vary depending on where you live. For UK based traders, such as myself, the 3 main market trading times are represented in the clock below.

FAPTurbo and Megadroid, my principle EAs, do not kick in until 21:00 GMT and I do not want to leave my PC on until the early hours. I therefore use a VPS provider, Forex VPS, to provide the trading platform.

What is VPS?

VPS Stands for Virtual Private Server. These servers are usually housed in large datacentres or disaster recovery sites that have all the infrastructure required to provide complete, ongoing resilience for your applications, 24 hours a day, every day.

Why do you need VPS?

Sporadic resets of your PC, PC freezing, children and other family members using your PC inadvertently closing your MetaTrader platform, viruses, family holidays and of course intermittent power failures.

All of the above are good reasons why you should use a reliable platform that you can access 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world.

When I purchased FAPTurbo the user manual gave all the details I needed to open a VPS account with their recommended provider. Unfortunately at the time, that provider was swamped with requests. Some 8 days later and, having heard nothing, I decided to look elsewhere following a recommendation.

I arrived at Forex VPS, signed up, received a couple of emails and was up and running within 4 hours! Forex VPS is 50% cheaper than the FAPTurbo recommended site.

Once you are up and running you can access the VPS service from any PC anywhere in the world. I use two main office PCs and also my laptop. Remote access gives you flexibility to respond to sudden market changes and amend trades, or just so you have the comfort factor that everything is running smoothly.
