and welcome to our new website, Affiliate Links World (ALW).

What is Affiliate Links World?

Affiliate Links World (ALW) is a review site based on currency trading and personal PC/Internet based technology.

Items marked as having been reviewed on the site have been used by myself and that review reflects my experience - be it good, bad or indifferent. My commitment is to provide totally open and honest information at all times.

Because it is confined to my experience, the range of products and services reviewed will initially be restricted to that which I have used. Hopefully, this scope will increase in the future.

It is called Affiliate Links World because it is an affiliate site - it exists to review products and services and then offer you the chance to interact with them in greater detail via an affiliate link.

As an affiliate site I will also provide links to other products and services that I might not have personally 'experienced' but which I feel may be of interest to you.

Forex

The real catalyst for ALW has been my experience with Forex (Foreign Exchange) Currency trading.

My experiences and early mistakes within Forex really crystallised my desire to set out real world feedback on the tools I had found and used. I am still very much a "newbie" trader but ALW exists to distil my experiences and help other people decide if they want to move into this exciting arena.

In these difficult times it is sometimes hard to justify expenditure on a risk-based investment. My personal account of what has been, to date, a profitable introduction to currency trading is designed to reduce some of that risk. Take a look at my Forex page.

PC Tools

Increasingly the Internet is the primary tool for research, shopping, hobbies, banking, keeping in touch with friends and working from home.

Users put huge amounts of trust in the security of information they upload. They put even more trust in the integrity of materials they download. The safety of the PC at the heart of all of this is all too easily forgotten.

There are many unscrupulous individuals who want to access your data or disrupt your PC with viruses. Research has shown up to 1 in 6 PCs are infected with active Spyware or Malware.

How many passwords do you use? Have you consolidated them into 2 or 3 that you use for every application? How secure is this?

Alternatively, do you get fed up filling in all the forms with the same information when you are purchasing items on the web? Why spend so much time on such a menial task?

How often do you back-up your documents, email messages and contacts? According to research, 43 percent of PC users have lost digital files or data at some point in their lives.

Alternatively, do you get fed up filling in all the forms with the same information when you are purchasing items on the web? Why spend so much time on such a menial task?

PC support software tools like Anti-Virus, Personal Firewall and Registry Cleaners are critical to ensure your PC is protected. They can also go a long way to making your online experience far more enjoyable.

I share my experiences with you on our the PC Tools pages.

Feedback

Hopefully you will find something of interest on this site. The open and honest approach to the feedback we give is critical to what ALW is all about. Equally I welcome any feedback you can offer and suggestions for improvement. If you have any ideas for inclusion, please email them to me at

or click on the button to use the contact form

Whilst comments and criticism are welcome, please be gentle with me. I am, after all, a "Silver Surfer".

Enjoy the site.

Nigel

Who is ALW?

ALW was set up by me – Nigel Hanwell. Based out of the East Midlands in the UK I would characterise myself as actively interested in personal finance - and all the more so since interest rates began dropping after I retired.

I spend a fair amount of time researching new technologies on the web to see if they can be of use in this personal finance context. As a former dabbler in share dealing, (mainly penny shares, and spread betting shares and commodities), I find it a good way to make my money work that bit harder for me.

I'm also a self-confessed Internet "nerd". I just love surfing the net, researching financial products, using eBay and keeping up-to-date with news and events.

I started to develop ALW because of the wealth of new tools I found. The idea was simply to provide an honest, open forum where you could get an account of one person's experience. If you want, you can to take this interest to the next level and use the tools yourself. The greater the feedback, and the wider the pool of expertise, the more ALW will have achieved this goal.
